１９９７年に消費税を３％から５％に引き上げた時も、結果として全体の税収は減った。そんな昔の話ではない。物忘れもいい加減にしてもらいたい

ここは、償還期間の長い公債で賄うなど、いろいろなやり方がある。今は政府が投資をすべき。それによって、民間の活力が出てくれば、それが日本のGDPを大きくする、即ち経済成長することになる。これが結果として、税収を上げ、公債依存度を下げることにもなる。不況だ、円高だといった国民生活全てに、この経済成長が関わってくるのだ。その為に何をすべきかということは、答えははっきり出ている。安易に増税に走るのには、断固反対していかねばならない

少なくとも、「増税はしない」と言って、民主党は先の総選挙を戦った。それが、増税に舵を切るなら、それで選挙をしてもらう、国民に信を問うてもうらうのが当然の筋だと思う
